Energem Campaign Submission (Silver)

Energy Based Learning
A submission for a national advertising competition organized by Edventure and sponsored by American Petroleum Institute in the spring of 2018. The objective was to conduct research and create educational tools for educating 13-15 year olds about the positive aspects of the oil and natural gas industries. Conceptually called Energem, an application-based learning experience with tie-in website amongst other media was planned.

Creating the Game

Our market research showed that at the time, games like Fortnite were extremely popular with our demographic. Other games like Mario Run and Temple Run were also mentioned in our research, so that got us thinking. Eventually, we landed on the idea of a Temple Run style game with objectives and the art style of a Fortnite. After this breakthrough we buckled down on what that all exactly would entail.

Web-Based Learning

Somewhat ahead of the curve, we wanted to move all learning to an online platform. This was where I spent the most time developing a website.

An Instagram and Twitter account were made for the campaign with the purpose of announcing application updates as well as providing facts about the industry.
